Unpad Graduate School Assesses Batik SMEs’ Readiness for Green Industry Standards

Researchers from the Graduate School, Universitas Padjadjaran, have conducted a study evaluating the readiness of Indonesia’s batik industry to implement Green Industry Standards (GIS). The study aimed to assess the industry’s preparedness and identify strategies to optimize the adoption of GIS.
This research contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): By promoting sustainable industrial practices in the batik sector.
SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): Encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly production processes.
SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): Supporting the growth of green industries and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
The study underscores the importance of integrating sustainability into traditional industries to achieve long-term environmental and economic benefits.
