Center for Envirtonment and Sustainability Science (formerly The Institute of Ecology) was established on September 23, 1972 as an interdisciplinary research centre with the main objective to develop and disseminate scientific and practical knowledge in the field of ecology and development.

FACILITIES

• To serve its research activities, the Institute has been equipped with comprehensive laboratory facilities for hydrological analysis, water and air quality control, and toxic substances analyses. These facilities include a digital mapping unit, a computer software and hardware for processing remote sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS).
