As part of its commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive academic environment, the Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) has partnered with local childcare facilities to provide essential support for students with children. This initiative ensures that student parents can focus on their studies without the added concern of finding reliable childcare, reinforcing the university’s dedication to equal access to education.

One of the childcare facilities, Darul Hikam Daycare, located on Jl. Teuku Angkasa, offers a safe and nurturing environment for children, giving parents peace of mind while they pursue their academic goals. By providing convenient, accessible childcare services near campus, SPs UNPAD is helping to alleviate some of the challenges faced by student parents, allowing them to fully participate in academic life.

This initiative is closely aligned with SDG 5: Gender Equality, by promoting policies and services that enable women and men to balance family and educational responsibilities. Furthermore, it reflects the university’s commitment to creating a supportive infrastructure that enhances student well-being, aligning with the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings for gender equality and inclusion.
