Graduate School UNPAD Advances Renewable Energy with Solar Power at BUAH The Living Lab

Through its pioneering initiative, BUAH The Living Lab, the Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran has taken an important step toward advancing renewable energy. The Lab has installed a 1000 WP solar panel system that now provides 30% of its total energy needs. This clean energy powers a range of gardening activities carried out by BUAH’s partners, underscoring the School’s strong commitment to sustainable practices. Remarkably, the energy generated produces zero grams of CO₂ emissions.

The adoption of solar power at BUAH The Living Lab forms part of the Graduate School’s Sustainability Guidelines, which also include community education programs on energy efficiency and clean energy. These initiatives are designed to increase public awareness of responsible energy use and promote sustainable behavior.

Beyond the campus, the Graduate School supports UNPAD’s vision to achieve 100% renewable energy, by encouraging clean energy adoption more broadly. It also offers practical services to local industries, such as energy efficiency evaluations, workshops on renewable technologies like solar power, and innovative sustainability solutions.

Aligned with national energy policies, the School emphasizes the use of eco-friendly technologies—including LED lighting, water-saving devices, and solar energy—both on campus and in the wider community.

Through these efforts, Graduate School UNPAD demonstrates not only its support for sustainable energy policies but also its role as a leader in applying green energy technologies, reinforcing its dedication to a cleaner, renewable energy future.
