The Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran has launched community development programs in Pangandaran to foster healthier lifestyles among the younger generation. Two key initiatives, “Anti-Smoking Culture for a Smoke-Free Golden Generation” and “Active and Fit Culture for Young People,” are designed to improve public health, empower communities, and build awareness on the long-term benefits of sustainable living. These programs directly contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4).
By engaging local youth in awareness campaigns, fitness activities, and behavioral change education, the programs aim to prevent health risks associated with smoking while promoting active lifestyles as a foundation for productivity and resilience. These initiatives not only strengthen community health but also ensure that the younger generation in Pangandaran grows into a strong, informed, and empowered society, aligned with Indonesia’s vision of sustainable human development.
