COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM : IMPLEMENTATION OF APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY BASED ON ECO-ENZYME FOR ORGANIC WASTE MANAGEMENT INTO COMPOST

The Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI) at the School of Graduate Studies, Universitas Padjadjaran, held a Community Service Program at Pantai Kembar Terpadu, Tambakmulyo Village, Puring District, Kebumen Regency. The program focused on eco-enzyme-based technology for organic waste management. Through lectures, demonstrations, and discussions, participants learned to convert household organic waste into compost using eco-enzymes to accelerate decomposition, supporting practical and sustainable community waste management.
The program increased community awareness and skills in reducing organic waste and producing environmentally beneficial compost. This initiative demonstrates Universitas Padjadjaran’s commitment to community empowerment and sustainable development, supporting SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by adopting simple, eco-friendly technologies.
