The Graduate School (SPS) of Universitas Padjadjaran, through the Biodiversity Management Plan (BMP) of PUI PT CESS, has implemented policies to identify, monitor, and protect species listed in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List as well as nationally protected species within areas affected by faculty operational activities. This initiative reflects a strong institutional commitment to ensuring that biodiversity protection is integrated into academic and infrastructural development.
Through BMP, SPS Unpad ensures that local biodiversity considerations are included in every stage of planning and development, such as new building projects. This effort supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 15: Life on Land, by conserving ecosystems and protecting endangered species. It also aligns with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, ensuring that campus development proceeds responsibly while safeguarding ecological balance for future generations.
