The Graduate School (SPS) of Universitas Padjadjaran, in collaboration with Bandung Urban Agriculture Heritage (BUAH) – The Living Lab, is actively revitalizing traditional urban farming practices to address climate challenges while strengthening food security and sustainability. By reintroducing local food crops through the INSUAH initiative, SPS also works to reduce the impact of invasive species on campus, preserve biodiversity, and promote sustainable agricultural practices within urban environments.
In addition, SPS supports biodiversity conservation through the relocation of stingless bees (Teuweul) to new habitats, encouraging sustainable home garden practices. This initiative not only enhances ecological balance but also provides alternative income opportunities through bee products such as honey, pollen, beeswax, and propolis. These efforts are strongly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 15: Life on Land, by promoting sustainable land use, biodiversity protection, and community-based environmental stewardship. With these initiatives, Universitas Padjadjaran reinforces its commitment to integrating heritage, sustainability, and innovation in building resilient urban communities.
