Unpad Graduate School Reduces Single-Use Items to Advance Green Campus Commitment

Bandung, Sekolah Pascasarjana (SPs) Universitas Padjadjaran has implemented a comprehensive program to reduce the use of disposable items as part of its ongoing commitment to creating a Green Campus. The initiative encourages all members of the academic community to adopt reusable alternatives, such as bringing personal tumblers, cutlery, and eco-friendly shopping bags.

In line with this commitment, SPs has also gradually reduced the use of single-use packaging during official campus events. For example, food and snacks provided for meetings and thesis examinations are no longer served in disposable boxes, but instead in more sustainable formats.

This initiative directly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, by reducing campus-generated waste and promoting mindful, eco-conscious behavior. Through these efforts, SPs Unpad strengthens its role as a model for sustainable practices in higher education.
