SPs Unpad Promotes Sustainable Commuting to Support SDG 11

Bandung, Sekolah Pascasarjana (SPs) Universitas Padjadjaran has launched initiatives to promote sustainable commuting among its academic community, reinforcing its commitment to creating a greener and more inclusive campus. The program encourages the use of eco-friendly transportation modes such as cycling, walking, and public transit.

To support this initiative, SPs has provided safe and convenient bicycle parking facilities and organizes educational campaigns to raise awareness of the health and environmental benefits of sustainable commuting. Additionally, the campus is equipped with well-maintained pedestrian pathways designed to ensure accessibility and comfort for both pedestrians and individuals with disabilities.

Through these efforts, SPs contributes to reducing carbon emissions, traffic congestion, and air pollution around the campus, while fostering a healthier and more sustainable living environment. This initiative aligns directly with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, supporting the creation of inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable spaces.
