SPs Unpad Fosters Urban Agriculture Startup “BUAH.TheLivingLab” to Promote Sustainable Development.


The Graduate School (SPs) of Universitas Padjadjaran has nurtured BUAH.TheLivingLab, an innovative urban agriculture startup designed to advance sustainable farming practices in urban settings. By implementing organic farming techniques and efficient water management systems, the startup supports SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and contributes to environmental sustainability.
BUAH.TheLivingLab integrates clean energy solutions, aligning with SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, and leverages technological and operational innovations to optimize urban agricultural production, supporting SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Its activities promote responsible consumption and production, aligning with SDG 12, by minimizing waste and utilizing resources efficiently.
The program empowers all segments of society, including marginalized communities, through hands-on participation, knowledge sharing, and inclusive engagement, contributing to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. Moreover, by promoting local, sustainable food production and reducing the carbon footprint of urban food systems, BUAH.TheLivingLab actively participates in climate change mitigation efforts (SDG 13).
