Graduate School Unpad Signs Green Campus Commitment Statement

The Graduate School of Padjadjaran University officially signed a commitment statement to support the realization of a green campus, demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability and supporting Unpad’s vision of producing a generation of globally competitive and environmentally conscious academics.

This signing marks a concrete step by the Graduate School in integrating environmentally friendly principles into all aspects of academic and operational activities. The green campus is implemented through various programs, such as implementing hybrid learning to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation activities, providing energy-efficient signs in public spaces such as restrooms and prayer rooms, and strengthening an energy-saving culture among lecturers, students, and educational staff.

Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Padjadjaran University, Prof. Dr. Ira Irawati, stated that this commitment represents an ongoing effort to build a more inclusive, sustainable, and adaptive campus to global challenges. “We believe that small, consistent efforts will have a significant impact on environmental sustainability. With this commitment, the Graduate School aims to be a pioneer in building an environmentally friendly culture in higher education,” she said.

Going forward, the Graduate School will continue to develop various green initiatives, including increased energy efficiency, sustainable waste management, and sustainability-oriented academic and research activities. This commitment is expected to inspire the entire academic community and the wider community to work together to protect the earth for future generations
