Unpad Graduate School Launches “Ecotourism Management” Course to Advance Sustainable Tourism Practices

The Graduate School, Universitas Padjadjaran, has introduced a course titled “Ecotourism Management” as part of the Master of Sustainable Tourism program. The course equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to plan, manage, and evaluate ecotourism initiatives that balance environmental conservation, community empowerment, and economic benefits. By combining academic insights with case studies and field-based approaches, the course prepares future tourism professionals to develop sustainable models that respect natural and cultural heritage.
This course contributes directly to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by providing advanced learning opportunities, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through sustainable tourism development, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities through the empowerment of local communities, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by promoting community-based tourism, and SDG 15: Life on Land through conservation-focused practices.
