SPs UNPAD Expands Access to Quality Education for Low-Income Students

The School of Postgraduate Studies at Universitas Padjadjaran (SPs UNPAD) remains committed to increasing enrollment of students from low-income families each year, with the aim of expanding access to quality education. This initiative aligns with efforts to reduce educational inequality and promote inclusivity within the academic community. According to the pre-sustainability questionnaire, 5.4% of SPs students come from low-income backgrounds. In response, SPs UNPAD is dedicated to continuously increasing the number of scholarships provided annually.

For 2024, SPs aims to offer at least one internal scholarship to a student from a low-income family in each of its study programs. This initiative directly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder talented individuals from pursuing higher education. Additionally, it contributes to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by fostering a more inclusive academic environment. Through these efforts, SPs UNPAD continues to demonstrate its commitment to equity and sustainability in higher education.
