SPs UNPAD Canteen Enhances Sustainability with Healthy and Eco-Friendly Options

Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Padjadjaran (SPs UNPAD) is proud to announce the introduction of sustainable food options at its campus canteen, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and health. The canteen now offers a diverse range of healthy dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options such as gado-gado and lotek. This initiative aims to provide nutritious, environmentally friendly meal choices that cater to the needs of the campus community.

In line with its sustainability goals, the canteen has eliminated the use of plastic and single-use packaging. This effort is part of SPs UNPAD’s broader strategy to reduce its environmental impact and promote responsible consumption. The changes in the canteen reflect a strong commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

SDG 2: Zero Hunger – By providing diverse and nutritious meal options, the canteen supports food security and healthy diets.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – The reduction of plastic and single-use items aligns with sustainable consumption practices.
SDG 13: Climate Action – By promoting plant-based foods and reducing waste, the canteen helps mitigate environmental impact.
These measures not only enhance the well-being of students and staff but also contribute to a more sustainable campus environment. SPs UNPAD continues to strive towards integrating sustainability into all aspects of campus life, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and health consciousness.
