In its commitment to fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment, Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Padjadjaran (SPs UNPAD) has taken a significant step to support students in the hybrid learning model. Recognizing the diverse needs of its student body, SPs UNPAD has implemented a device loan program that provides essential tools, such as laptops and tablets, to students who require them. This initiative ensures that all students have access to the necessary equipment for both online and face-to-face classes, thereby minimizing technical barriers and enhancing the overall learning experience.
This proactive measure aligns with the principles outlined in the Sustainability Guidelines, Chapter 8: Guidelines for Effective Communication Strategies on Sustainability, specifically focusing on Effective Communication Strategies in the Implementation of Teaching. By addressing the digital divide, SPs UNPAD not only supports SDG 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes equitable access to education and learning resources, but also contributes to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, promoting equal opportunities for students regardless of their socio-economic status.
The initiative reflects SPs UNPAD’s adherence to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings indicators, particularly those related to educational access and inclusion. By ensuring that all students are equipped to participate fully in hybrid learning, SPs UNPAD is actively working towards creating a more equitable educational environment, thus making substantial progress towards these critical global goals.
