The Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran (SPs UNPAD) is committed to creating a more inclusive and family-friendly campus environment. As part of this effort, SPs UNPAD has introduced dedicated facilities such as a lactation room and a children’s play area at LeROCs. These facilities are designed to cater to the specific needs of women, particularly mothers, and parents with young children, ensuring that they feel supported and welcomed on campus.
The lactation room provides a comfortable and private space for breastfeeding mothers, while the children’s play area offers a safe and engaging environment for children. These initiatives not only support female students and staff but also help to create an atmosphere where parents can balance their academic or professional responsibilities with their family obligations.
This project aligns with SDG 5: Gender Equality, which promotes gender inclusivity by providing the necessary infrastructure for women and families. Additionally, it reflects SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, as it directly supports the health and welfare of both mothers and children. Furthermore, these initiatives align with the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, demonstrating SPs UNPAD’s commitment to inclusivity, well-being, and gender equality on campus.
Through these steps, SPs UNPAD continues to ensure that everyone in the academic community, especially women and parents, have access to a campus that promotes both academic excellence and personal well-being.
