Graduate School UNPAD Monitors Graduation Rates to Promote Gender Equality in Higher Education

The Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) is committed to promoting gender equality through continuous tracking and monitoring of graduation rates among male and female students. From 2023 to 2024, a total of 114 students graduated, consisting of 59 males and 55 females. These numbers reflect a near-equal balance in graduation outcomes, highlighting the school’s efforts to close any potential gaps in academic success between men and women.

In line with SDG 5: Gender Equality, SPs UNPAD not only tracks gender-based graduation rates but also analyzes the factors that contribute to these outcomes. By evaluating trends such as credit completion and final thesis submission, the institution identifies areas where female students excel, while ensuring support mechanisms are in place to address any gender disparities that may arise. This proactive approach reinforces UNPAD’s commitment to creating an equitable academic environment for all.

Such initiatives also align with the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, specifically in advancing gender equality and inclusive education. By continuously monitoring and improving these indicators, SPs UNPAD demonstrates its leadership in fostering a balanced and supportive academic community.
