The Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran (SPS UNPAD) continues to demonstrate its commitment to inclusive and sustainable education by implementing a scheme that supports students from low and lower-middle-income countries. This initiative is in line with UNPAD’s dedication to advancing global educational equity and promoting opportunities for all.
Recently, the Master’s programs, Sustainability Science at SPS UNPAD welcomed students from Kenya made possible through the KNB Scholarship Scheme. This scholarship program offers free education and grants to deserving students, allowing them to pursue higher education without financial barriers.
By extending this opportunity to international students, particularly those from economically challenged regions, UNPAD is directly supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. This initiative also aligns with SDG 10, which aims to reduce inequality within and among countries, highlighting UNPAD’s commitment to creating a more equitable and inclusive academic environment.
This scholarship program, supported by partnerships such as the one with Pelindo, demonstrates the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals. The initiative not only benefits the individual students but also fosters cultural exchange and understanding, enriching the academic experience at SPS UNPAD.
Through these efforts, SPs aims to empower future leaders who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to address global challenges, contributing to the sustainable development of their home countries and beyond. As SPs continues to expand its support for international students, it reaffirms its role as a catalyst for positive change and a proponent of global educational excellence.
