Graduate School UNPAD is deeply committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which emphasizes inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. In 2023, the School has demonstrated its dedication to this goal through active involvement in sustainability research, contributing to the academic community and beyond.
Dr. Sc. Dina Oktavia, S. Hut., M.Si., a prominent researcher at Graduate School UNPAD, has spearheaded several significant research projects in the field of sustainability. Her work includes a comprehensive study titled “Kajian Geologi dan Ekologi Tumbuhan di Formasi Jampang Anggota Cikarang, Geopark Ciletuh,” which explores the geological and ecological characteristics of the Jampang Formation in the Ciletuh Geopark, highlighting the region’s environmental significance.
Additionally, Dr. Dina has contributed to the academic discourse on climate change with her “Systematic Literature Review of Society and Sea Level Rise in Indonesia,” offering critical insights into the societal impacts of rising sea levels in the country. This review article serves as an essential resource for understanding the challenges posed by climate change to coastal communities in Indonesia.
Moreover, Dr. Dina’s research extends to the campus environment with her study on “Kajian Potensi Obyek Daya Tarik Wisata (ODTW) di Lingkungan Kampus Universitas Padjadjaran,” which evaluates the potential of tourist attractions within the UNPAD campus. This research aims to promote sustainable tourism practices and enhance the campus’s role as a center for environmental education.
Through these research initiatives, Graduate School UNPAD actively contributes to SDG 4 by fostering a culture of sustainability in education and research. These efforts not only advance academic knowledge but also support the development of policies and practices that align with global sustainability goals.
