UNPAD Graduate School continues to advance its commitment to academic excellence by launching programs aimed at enhancing the quality of education and research. These initiatives include publication assistance and conference preparation programs, specifically designed to help students improve their academic competencies and prepare for participation in international academic activities. Additionally, the High-Quality Talent (HQT) program has been introduced to enhance teaching skills among faculty members, ensuring an optimal learning experience for all students.
In September 2023, SPs welcomed two new faculty members, Dr. Lathifah Puji Hastuti, S.Si., who joined the Biotechnology Study Program, and Kevin Muhamad Lukman, S.T., M.Env., Ph.D., who joined the Environmental Science Study Program. Both faculty members are actively involved in various SPs activities, contributing to the continuous enhancement of the academic environment.
Empowering Students for Global Academic Success:
The publication assistance and conference preparation programs are critical components of UNPAD Graduate School’s strategy to support student success. By providing resources and guidance for academic publishing, SPs equips students with the necessary skills to disseminate their research effectively. Furthermore, the preparation for international conferences allows students to engage with global academic communities, broadening their perspectives and enhancing their scholarly impact.
Developing High-Quality Talent:
To complement these student-focused initiatives, the HQT program is targeted at improving teaching quality by upskilling faculty members. This program focuses on refining teaching methodologies, incorporating innovative educational practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By investing in the professional development of its lecturers, SPs ensures that students benefit from high-quality education, which is both current and relevant.
Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 4: Quality Education
The initiatives align with SDG 4 by promoting inclusive and equitable quality education. By enhancing both the teaching capabilities of faculty members and the academic competencies of students, SPs contributes to raising educational standards and fostering an environment of academic excellence.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Through these programs, SPs also supports SDG 8 by preparing students and faculty to excel in a competitive academic and professional environment. The focus on quality education and skill development ensures that graduates are well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to the workforce and drive economic growth.
Looking Ahead:
UNPAD Graduate School’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in education is evident through these initiatives. By supporting both students and faculty, SPs not only enhances its academic offerings but also contributes to the broader goals of sustainable development. As SPs UNPAD continues to implement these and other innovative programs, it reinforces its role as a leading institution committed to fostering a sustainable and inclusive academic community.
These programs reflect the university’s alignment with key indicators from the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, demonstrating a commitment to both educational quality and the advancement of the global academic community.
