Universitas Padjadjaran’s Graduate School is dedicated to advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its comprehensive guidelines, detailed in Chapters 1 and 9. Chapter 1 underscores the commitment to embedding SDGs throughout the curriculum, ensuring that all students gain relevant education on these goals and are prepared to address global challenges. By integrating sustainability principles into various courses, the university equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for impactful contributions to global sustainability.
In partnership with the Center for Environmental Studies (CESS), the Graduate School has also focused on environmental training through its 2023 Non-Degree Training Program. This initiative, supporting SDG 14 (Life Below Water), offers specialized training in air and water sampling, hazardous waste management, and environmental impact assessment. The program aims to provide participants with practical skills for sustainable resource management and environmental protection.
Chapter 9 highlights the Graduate School’s proactive role in SDG policy development and international collaboration. The university engages with government bodies and NGOs to shape SDG policies, ensuring effective and adaptive interventions. Additionally, it participates in global efforts to collect and measure SDG data, reviews best practices through international research, and collaborates with NGOs on student volunteering and educational projects. Regular SDGs Reports and community education programs, such as Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), further demonstrate the university’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and fostering global sustainability.
