Graduate School Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) is proud to announce the implementation of its new sustainability guidelines that support Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5), which focuses on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. These guidelines reflect UNPAD’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students, staff, and faculty.
To support students with children, SPs UNPAD has partnered with local childcare facilities, such as Darul Hikam daycare, located on Jl. Teuku Angkasa https://maps.app.goo.gl/xDQv7NqsZV7QQfi17. This collaboration ensures that student parents can concentrate on their studies without concerns about childcare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children.

In addition, SPs UNPAD has established public access facilities that are friendly to women and children. This includes dedicated lactation rooms and play areas for children at LeROCs, designed to meet the specific needs of female students, staff, and faculty with young children.
Moreover, the Graduate School has introduced a women empowerment scheme involving over 10% of female students in activities like the Unpad Tourism Festival. This initiative aims to provide support and mentorship, encouraging active participation and personal development among women in the academic community.
These measures highlight SPs UNPAD’s ongoing dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable academic environment, advancing gender equality, and supporting the well-being of its community members. (SNM)
