Teaching Staff [ESG 1.5] The composition (quantity, qualifications, professional and international experience, etc.) of the staff is appropriate for the achievement of the intended learning outcomes.

The Biotechnology Study Program is supported by reputable teaching staff and researchers with infrastructure including the existence of study centers, research centers and centers of excellence which are very adequate within the University of Padjadjaran as well as the support of domestic and foreign partners who have collaborated with the Postgraduate School.

The teaching staff for the Master of Biotechnology Study Program come from various faculties with different scientific backgrounds. This is to support students’ multidisciplinary learning and research (Table 1). The lecturers are generally graduates from leading universities at home and abroad. The Study Program also adopts practitioners from companies as instructors and final task advisors.

Recruitment of teaching staff is carried out by the government based on the condition of needs in the Faculty. To meet the shortage of lecturer human resources, the Faculty is given the authority to recruit NIDK Lecturers in coordination with the University. Recruitment of NIDK lecturers has special requirements to have a publication of at least two papers in Q2 reputable journals.
