The Biotechnology doctoral program aims to produce graduates who are able to:

• Produce innovative and original biotechnology research works in solving actual problems.
• Combine and integrate two or more scientific disciplines in the implementation of Biotechnology research.
• Be professional and independent in designing and carrying out Biotechnology research according to existing problems.
• Communicate the results of research in a professional manner that is useful in the development of science and technology.

The curriculum for the Biotechnology Study Program is structured and designed based on the Outcome Base Curriculum (OBC) where curriculum development is based on the profile and Learning Outcomes of Graduates (CPL). The Biotechnology Doctoral Study Program is a doctoral program that mainstreams research (doctor by research) with the hope of producing research that has an impact on problem-solving and scientific development. For this reason, the curriculum in the Biotechnology Study Program is structured not in the form of face-to-face courses but in the form of structured activities with clear learning outcomes and outputs. Deepening in a course is only carried out if necessary and in accordance with the needs of student research.
