The Doctor of Biotechnology Study Program has the vision to produce academics and researchers who are independent and professional in solving and producing original works through an interdisciplinary approach according to national (KKNI) and international (International Council of Biotechnology Associations) standards.

The Doctor of Biotechnology Study Program at Gradschool Unpad is a three-year by research Doctoral program based on trans and interdisciplinary research with a focus on the philosophy and professional development of biotechnology scientists in four areas of specialization:
a. Health Biotechnology
b. Plant, livestock and fish biotechnology (agro-biotechnology)
c. Industrial biotechnology
d. Environmental Biotechnology
